Sticker, poster of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh’s 'Samudayotsav’ unveiled

Udupi, Nov 22: The sticker and poster unveiling ceremony of 'Samudayotsav - 2020', which is organized on January 19, 2020 by Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh at the campus of Mount Rosary Church Kallianpur, was held on Thursday, November 21 at the auditorium of the association.

The unveiling of the sticker and poster was done by journalist Nagaraja Rao, entrepreneurs Mohammed Moula, Gautam Navada and spiritual director of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves.

Speaking on the occasion, Nagaraja Rao said, "The Christian community has made an impression all over India through its service. It is common to ask for cooperation from everyone when one holds a programme. When everyone gives service within limits the programme will be a success."

Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves, spiritual director of the association said, "Everyone has to do the work of building bridges in the society and thereby develop oneself and the society. Only when this positive attitude is there it is possible to build a harmonious society."

More than 3,000 Catholics are expected to take part in the conference. The inauguration of the event will be done by former governor Margaret Alva. Fr Peter Machado, Bishop of Bengaluru diocese, Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese, Janet D'Souza, senior Congress leader of Maharashtra and other eminent leaders will take part in the valedictory function.

Six achievers who have done commendable achievement in their respective fields and one life time achiever will be felicitated on the occasion.

Allwyn Quadros welcomed the gathering. Secretary of 'Samudayotsav - 2020' committee Mary D'Souza rendered the vote of thanks.
