Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Nov 22: Former block Congress general secretary Hussain Katipalla, held former MLA, Mohiuddin Bava, directly responsible for the despicable defeat of the Congress in the city corporation poll. He said that Bava should own responsibility for the victory of only one party candidate out of 23 wards located within Suratkal block Congress Committee.

Addressing a press meet on Thursday November 21, he also asked all the members of Suratkal block Congress committee to resign. He said that the party faced such a drubbing because of overlooking former MLA Vijayakumar Shetty and party's grass root level workers. He said that Bava became president of minorities unit of the party out of money power alone.

Dinesh Kodical also demanded resignation of Bava. He asked to appoint someone else in his place so that Congress workers will get a chance to organize the party. Former mayor Gulzar Banu said that they have collectively defeated Bava and not the Congress.

Mangaluru Bava and Saumya Asif were present at the press conference.
