Madikeri, Nov 24: In an incident that occurred on the late night of Friday at Devanoor of Nittor village under Virajpet near here a cow was killed by tiger.
The cow belonging to Podamada Swati, resident of Nittor village was killed by the tiger. The cow was tied to a pole near the cow shed. After killing the cow, the tiger ate half the body and left the remaining portion near the cow shed itself and went inside the jungle.
The incident came to light on the morning of Saturday. Forest officials have visited the spot and taken corrective measures.
