Puttur, Sep 1: Kannada play ‘Moksha Sangeeta’ staged by the students of Indraprasta Vidyalaya, Uppinangady, bagged the first place in the taluk-level ‘Pratibha Karanji’, a talent contest organized by the Public Instructions Department here on Friday August 28.
The play directed by theater artiste Mounesh Vishwakarma, has qualified for the district-level Pratibha Karanji.
The playwright is Murali Sringeri and it has been co-ordinated by the school’s art teacher Shivagiri Kalladka. Indraprasta Vidyalaya students troupe consisting of Meghashree, Maria Alfam, Kripa Kailar, Shreya, Anantakrishna, Srajana, Ankita, and Kavya P K, were the cast. Musicians Madhushree, Ishrat, Swastik, Nikilesh, Vinyas, and Ashwini Kini, assisted.
