Mangaluru: Awareness on global warming scheduled on Dec 5

Mangaluru, Dec 4: Lions Club Valencia and Dakshina Kannada district administration will hold a programme on December 5 from 9 am to 10 am on global warming in association with schools and colleges within the city limits.

The programme will be inaugurated symbolically at the office of the deputy commissioner by DC Sindhu B Roopesh in the presence of students of select schools and colleges. She will also administer the oath.

The Lion’s district governor, Ronald Gomes will take part in the programme. Lion Leslie D’Souza will preside over the programme. 16,000 to 18,000 students are expected to take part in the programme. The organizers have requested for everybody’s cooperation in the event.
