Mangalore: Ban on Ore Trucks Extended till September 30

Mangalore, Sep 3: The ban on the movement of ore trucks and vehicles carrying unduly heavy loads on the stretches of national highway 17 and 48 located within Dakshina Kannada district imposed earlier, has been extended till September 30.

The the order dated July 23. which had banned the movement of ore trucks within the district, had said that the ban would be in force till August 31. District magistrate and deputy commissioner V Ponnuraj said that the ban has now been extended to cover the entire rainy season.
