Bangalore: BJP Unit to Elect New Chief in Mid-December

Bangalore, Oct 23: BJP state unit here on Thursday October 22 decided to elect its new president in mid-December in a state office-bearers meet. 

The office-bearers on Thursday tentatively finalized the schedule for the party’s organizational elections and have plans to conduct the election for the post of state president on December 15 to replace incumbent president D V Sadananda Gowda, whose term will end in November.  

The names of higher education minister Aravind Limbavali, primary and secondary education minister Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, former member of parliament C  Vijayashankar and BJP spokesperson C T Ravi are doing the rounds for next president of the party. 

It was also decided that the elections for panchayat and booth level committees will be held between November 1 and 20 and the elections for district committees wil be held between December 1 and 10.
