Mangalore: Mumbai-bound Trains to Resume Operations from Oct 25

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Oct 25: The trains on the city-Mumbai route, that had suspended operations since Friday October 23, will resume operations from today.

The running of the trains had been suspended, after a water supply pipe along with a bridge that held it, crashed on a suburban train in Mumbai, killing the train driver and injuring several passengers on Friday. The train traffic in Mumbai had been thrown out of gear in the tragedy and several trains coming to Mumbai were cancelled, as the railway tracks, which were damaged, had to be restored.

The railway sources said that the Matsyagandha Express to Mumbai will be run at its usual timings on Sunday October 25.
