Mumbai: Goregaon Karnataka Sangha celebrates 62nd Nada Habba

Mumbai, Feb 25: Goregaon Karnataka Sangha, one of the prestigious local organizations celebrated its 62nd annual Nada Habba (village festival) and discussion forum at Bajaj auditorium, Malad (West) on Sunday, February 23. Veteran hotelier, entrepreneur Sadananda K Safaliga was the chief guest.

President of the sangha, Narayana R Mendon lighted the lamp, inaugurated the programme and released the annual magazine of the sangha ‘Mumbelaku’. Entrepreneur Kaveribettu Jayakar S Shetty was the guest of honour.

In the discussion forum chaired by veteran author Mitra Venkatraj, on social challenges, Mundappa S Payyade and Vijaya R Bhandary were present as guests of honour. Damodar Shetty Iruvail spoke on the bond of marriage and a teacher. Amratha A Shetty spoke about divorce.

Artistes in the sangha presented a cultural programme. Ladies wing members presented ‘Amba Shapatha’ a Yakashagana play. Sarita Nayak compered the cultural programme.
