Mangaluru, Mar 3: To bring awareness against plastic and its reuse Spandana self-help group that works under Canara Organization for Development and Peace (CODP) conducted a training program to reuse the plastic bottles.

Ecofriendly seating was also constructed at CODP's extended office at Kumble Shanthipalla, by using plastic bottles, in which 225 bottles have been used to construct the seating by filling 280 kgs of plastic waste into the bottles. This was led by the convenor Ravikumar Crasta to construct the eco–friendly seating, aimed to create awareness in the society about environmental protection and also with a motive to join hands in creating a plastic-free society.
