Mangalore, Nov 11: Due to the heavy rains in the city, several low-lying areas were inundated on Wednesday November 11. The congested Car Street area in the city was one of the worst hit, as the water got accumulated on the roads up to the knee level.
Movement of people and vehicles was affected for some time because of the stranded water. Water entered several low-lying shops, and business came to a standstill in the area for more than an hour. However, the situation eased after the intensity of rain came down in the afternoon.
