Mumbai: Nagpur expressway to cut travel time to eight hours

Mumbai, Mar 6: The economic survey states that 86% acquisition of land for Mumbai to Nagpur expressway was possible so far. Rs 6,991 crore is paid to the project-affected persons as compensation.

The eight-lane expressway which is 701 kilometer long will reduce the time consumed to travel between the two cities from the current 15 hours to only eight hours. The work is expected to be completed by 2021.

MSRTC has reportedly collected toll amounting to Rs 9,252 crore from projects that are completed till 2019.
