Mangaluru: Court order executed - Wakf property at Kudroli reclaimed

Mangaluru, Mar 21: As per the court order, the land belonging to Kudroli Nadupalli Jumma Masjid which is a Wakf property, where a school building was constructed, was taken back on Thursday.

In 15 cents of land belonging to Wakf Board under the said mosque, a private school was operating and the matter was referred to court. The property was taken back in the presence of the general public on Thursday. Office of the headmaster of the school and the main gate has been locked.

At the request of the Masjid management, the Wakf Board had, on January 7, 2018, served notice seeking to vacate the school building within 45 days. The school management approached the court and obtained stay order. The court took about two years to deliver the verdict. As per the order issued by the court on March 3 this year, the disputed property was held to be belonging to Nadupalli mosque. State Wakf Board officials came here and locked the school building on Thursday evening.
