Bengaluru: State govt buys 5,000 ICU beds, 500 new ventilators to fight coronavirus

Bengaluru, Mar 21: The government of Karnataka is fully prepared to face the emergency against coronavirus pandemic which is fast spreading in the country. Already 5,000 new beds are made ready in the prominent hospitals of the state and 500 new ventilators are also purchased.

Ventilators, which are vital for patients affected with Covid-19, were short in hospitals throughout the state. So the action was taken by government to buy 500 ventilators and 5,000 beds with oxygen facility.

Regents are required in Kalaburagi and Ballari. Appeal is made to the prime minister to establish laboratories in Hubballi and Mangaluru and it is said that the PM has agreed for the same. CM Yediyurappa informed that the public of the state has to consider the instructions and guidlines given by the state administration seriously and act in accordance. Instructions are also given to concerned officials to increase the pressure, if required.
