Kundapur, Mar 27: “It is not necessary to wear masks everywhere. Mask is necessary in crowded places. We have a scarcity of masks. I have asked SP not to penalise those who do not wear masks. People need not worry about it. I will take action about the supply of sanitizers,” said Udupi deputy commissioner G Jagadeesh. He was speaking during his visit to Kundapur because of lockdown.

“Assistant commissioner and ASP have taken sufficient precautions for the awareness of coronavirus in Kundapur. The government has ordered strict action against those who violate guidelines. The government has asked not only to beat the violators with lathis but also to register cases against them. Therefore, people should not come out unnecessarily,” he said.

"Remain at home and maintain social distance. Let there be distance while buying items also. I have asked to close shops which have not drawn lines for social distance," he said.
