Udupi, Mar 30: “The management of A V Baliga Hospital, Doddanagudde, will start telemedicine consultation services in order to communicate their clients, from March 30, to maintain social distance and to avoid spreading of coronavirus,” said Dr P V Bhandary, a well-known psychiatrist.

“New or regular clients (patients) should send their details like name, age and details of their place to WhatsApp number 9242821215. Regular patients should provide details along with their case history. They can send voice message or written message saying ‘I would like to get telemedicine service from the hospital’.

The clients will get phone call from the hospital and will inform consulting time to the caller. Later, we will consult them over phone and will provide prescriptions according to their health status over WhatsApp.

The prescribed medicines can be purchased from pharmacies.

This special telemedicine consultation service will be continued until lockdown is over, said Dr Bhandary in a media release.

The WhatsApp number is 9242821215.
