Bantwal: Revenue Department Attaches Illegal Building

Bantwal, Dec 4: On Thursday December 3, the revenue department attached a building constructed on the government land by the side of Vittal-Pakalakunja road at Muruva in Manila village near Vittal in the taluk, in which a bank branch is functioning.

785 square feet of the commercial building measuring 1,158 square feet, built in survey no.72 by a man named Dembala Rama Bhat, was attached. Tahsildar, C N Manjunath, said that the branch of Karnataka Bank, functioning in the building, has been asked to shift elsewhere.

The revenue department took this action, on a public interest petition and the recommendation of Peruvai gram panchayat.
