Mangalore: District-leve Bodybuilding Contest ‘Sri Dakshina Kannada’ Inaugurated

Mangalore, Dec 7: ‘Sri Dakshina Kannada–2009’, a district body building competition, organized by city-based South Canara Amateur Body Building Association, was inaugurated at Ravindra Kala Bhavan of University College at 6.00 pm on Sunday December 6. 

City-based Adhishakti Caterers proprietor Krishna Gorigudda inaugurated the event.






 

Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee (DCC) vice-president Ivan D’Souza was the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Ivan D’Souza said, “Krishna Gorigudda promotes body building competitions, wherein promising bodybuilders get an opportunity to compete in a district-level contest. It builds potential for winners to compete in the state and national-level competitions”.

Former bodybuilder and Panambur circle inspector Valentine D’Souza, city-based Saroj Panchakarma Chikitsalaya proprietor Dr Gajanana Prabhu, and Diggers India proprietor Jayaraj Shetty were also guests on the occasion. 

South Canara Amateur Body Building Association secretary Mahesh Kumar and joint secretary Vincent were present on the dais. 

President Raymond D’Souza welcomed the gathering.
