Mangalore: Submission of Fake Records for Passport – Woman Arrested

Mangalore, Dec 8: The Bajpe police station personnel, on Monday December 7, nabbed a woman on charges of furnishing fake certificate for securing a passport. 

She has been identified as Navid Bilkis Manhar (34), wife of Syed Safat from Sahara Compound, Sooralpady. She reportedly had submitted a fake school transfer certificate, purportedly issued by the government girls school in Theerthahalli, Shimoga district, while applying for passport. During the police investigation, this certificate was found to be fake.

Reportedly, during her interrogation, Manhar revealed that the said certificate was provided to her by a man named Khaleel from the city.  The police personnel, besides registering a case against her, produced her in the court on Monday. 

Investigations are in progress.
