Mangalore, Dec 9: Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy will be organizing a state level Konkani women’s Literary and Cultural Festival at Sirsi on January 9 and 10, 2010.

To encourage women writers and artistes from folklore, music, drama and Yakshagana fields from the state, literary and cultural programmes will be organized. In addition, poets meet, seminars, and cultural programmes like music, folklore, drama, dances etc., will also be arranged. 

Through a release, the Academy has requested interested women writers and artistes to submit full details about their teams and the items they want to present, so as to reach the Registrar, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, City Corporation Building, Lalbagh, Mangalore (telephone: 0824 – 2453167) before December 25, 2009.

The writers and artistes settled in Uttara Kannada district may send in their applications to Sandhya Kurdekar, Shantinagar, Yallapur Road, Sirsi – 581 402 (Mobile: 9880006070).
