Bangalore, Dec 10: Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court, P D Dinakaran, cancelled the hearing of the cases in the High Court that were slated to come up before him, again on Wednesday December 9.

He had suddenly abstained from court proceedings on Monday. On Tuesday too, he had not participated in the court proceedings. It was speculated that he was in New Delhi in connection with the final decision the Supreme Court collegium was scheduled to take about his elevation, in the backdrop of certain allegations levelled against him.  On Wednesday, he was to take up 44 cases for consideration, and a Cause List had been prepared for the same.

Lawyers and the parties to various suits that were to come up for hearing had gathered at the High Court. They had to go back disappointed, as it was announced that the CJ had cancelled the day’s hearing.
