Chikkaballapur: Thief rigs hole in wine shop's wall

Chikkaballapur, Apr 18: In an incident which happened in this town, a thief took away liquor bottles by rigging a hole in the wall of a wine shop. The incident happened in Balaji Wine Store on B B Road on main road in the town which is owned by a local, Ramesh.

The thief made a hole in the rear wall of the shop. He came in, stole several bottles and fled. He also covered the CCTV camera located at the cash counter by with a paper cup to ensure that it does not capture his face.

Someone who saw the hole informed the police. The town police along with excise officials have opened the lock of the wine shop and are checking the stock. The actual quantum of theft is yet to be ascertained.
