Udupi: Rotary Club donates swab collecting kiosk

Udupi, Apr 18: The Rotary Club of Manipal on Saturday April 18 handed over a COVID-19 swab testing kiosk to the health department. Rajaverma Ariga, president Rotary Club Udupi - Manipal handed over the keys of the kiosk to Dr Sudheerchandra Sooda, district health officer Udupi.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramachandra Ariga said, "We are all fighting to control this epidemic. As a small help to our district, we have donated this kiosk which will be very helpful to doctors in collecting the swab in the safest way possible."

On receiving the kiosk, Dr Sudheerchandra Sooda, DHO said, "This kiosk will be used in Karkala taluk government hospital. When we collect the swab from suspected people, this kiosk will be helpful. I want to thank the Rotary Club for donating this."

Amith Aravind Jayvittal Dr Virupaksha Devarumane, D Prashanth Bhat and others were present on the occasion.
