Mangaluru, Apr 18: ‘Team Be Human’, social service group has come forward to satiate hunger of civic workers who are indulged in the cleanliness of Mangaluru city everyday like soldiers fighting against Covid-19 pandemic.

As many as 180 grocery kits were distributed among 180 civic workers in a simple programme held at Idga maidan, light house hill in the city on Saturday, April 18. Corporation opposition leader Ravoof Bajal, Mansoor Ahmed Azad, Aina group Ashraf, Seeco Asif, advocate Shukoor, U B Salim, Sahil Zahir, Rash Beary, Munna Kammaradi, Mutalib and others were present.

Team Be Human group, alumni of St Aloysius college 1989 batch has responded immediately when they came to know that civic workers working under Antony waste management were in difficulties due to delay in payment of salaries.

Team Be Human was commended when they took up the noble work of satiating hunger of the weak, destitute, migrant workers. Team members Ahanaf Deals, Altaf, Shameem, Altaf, Basha, Pradeep, Vincent, Shiaz Deals, Nawaz and Hanif have delivered across religions, grocery kits to the doorsteps of 1,200 daily wage labourers, migrant workers and the poor.

They have plans to deliver the kits to civic workers in Urva and Surathkal also. “It is necessary for youth and students to act quickly in the difficulties of the hungry,” said Team Be Human founder president Asif Deals in a press release.
