Ballary, Apr 19: Police have arrested a BJP leader for selling the liquor illegally during the lockdown.

D Raghavendra is the BJP leader who is arrested by the police. He owns a wine shop. Police got definite information that liquor is being sold in his shop even during the lockdown. They along with excise personnel conducted a raid on the outlet owned by the BJP leader.

Raghavendra owns Kartik Bar & Restaurant at Sandur in the district. His bar was sealed as all others in the wake of lockdown. However, he was selling the same illegally. Two other bar owners are also arrested by the police for violating the lockdown rules and selling liquor illegally.
