Bengaluru: Technical education department advises against using Zoom app

Bengaluru, Apr 20: The department of technical education has advised to stop using the Zoom app that was used by the department to conduct online classes for the students under the lockdown conditions. It has asked to use a safe, alternative online platform for conducting classes.

As the Zoom app is basically from China, the union government has expressed suspicions about the data getting leaked. Therefore, the department has advised teachers and staff not to use this app. Other media such as TCS ION digital classroom have been suggested to bemused.

Director of the department H U Talwar has advised the lecturers to conduct online tests, evaluation, providing answers to model question papers etc for tie students till the lockdown comes to an end.

    Zoom app is from USA but the founder is a Chinese born just to clarify. So technically it becomes a US based app.
