Mysuru, Apr 28: The wife of a policeman, who was frustrated with life because of certain recent incidents, killed her five-year-old daughter by hanging her with a noose. The woman then hanged herself.

The incident happened at the police residential quarters at Hebbalu Ring Road in the city. The deceased was identified as Vidyashree (30), wife of Harish, a constable attached to the police control room here. It was found that she left a death note which merely said that no one is responsible for her suicide.

It is said that the lady was very much distressed at the financial crisis the family was going through. In the recent past, the family had witnessed two road accidents involving Vidyashree's husband and daughter. In both cases, the family had to spend heavily, which put stress on the already delicate financial condition of the family.

The lady chose to execute her plan on Sunday night after her husband left for work.
