Mangalore, Dec 28, (DHNS) : Dakshina Kannada district-level 6th Chutuku Sahitya Sammelan will be held under the aegis of DK Chutuku Sahitya Parishat at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mudipu on January 7, informed the Parishat district head Ira Nemu Poojary. 

Addressing a press meet, he said writer and former judge Jinadatta Desai from Belgaum would inaugurate the conference, which would be presided by scholar Vi Ga Nayak.
Seminars, limericks poetry meet, felicitation to achievers and cultural programmes will also be held as part of the day-long event.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, District-in-Charge Minister J Krishna Palemar, MLAs Ramanath Rai, U T Khader, Kananda Sahitya Parishat former head Harikrishna Punaroor, veteran writer V B Hosamane, Bhuvaneshwari Hegde, Chutuku Sahitya Parishat convener M G R Urs will take part, he informed.

Parishat District General Secretary Narayan Bhat, taluk president Mahesh R Nayak and others were present at the press meet.
