Bangalore: Church Attacks Politically Motivated: Sangliana

The Hindu

Bangalore, Dec 29:
The year 2009 was marred by a rash of attacks on churches. H.T. Sangliana Vice-chairperson of National Commission for Minorities pointed out that miscreants vandalised at least 50 churches and prayer halls across the State this year. He said:

“All these attacks were politically motivated. All Christians in the State hope that the Government will take action against the anti-social elements, which will be a big test. The police should improve its intelligence to prevent such activities and deploy more personnel in vulnerable areas.

“To nab the accused in the church attacks, the Government should announce Rs. 1 crore as reward for those providing information about the accused. Churches should be assisted to install CCTV surveillance cameras, burglar alarms and other safety equipment.

“In Karnataka, everybody feels there is no protection for minorities. Fortunately nothing untoward was reported during the Christmas celebrations this year.”

Yes God made it possible to set you over there to protect minorities in India. Manis Pinto speaks like a fool. First of all let him become a good born again Christian and start doing good works or stop his criticism on Bro. Sangliana. We the Udupi District Full Gospel Pastors Association(R) will continue to uphold Bro. Sangliana in our prayers. May the Lord bless Bro. Sangliana to do his responsibility. We love you brother. Past Bajrang chief himself has admitted, it was not published in Karnataka, why then attack churches here? It was only a excuse they needed to subjugate minorities, by creating fear psychosis, to prove their oft repeated accusation that christians indulge in conversions, which have not been proven till today.(otherwise) They could have said, your forefathers indulged in conversions in the past, so we attacked you now!
