Udupi, Apr 29: Life has gone haywire in the country due to lockdown in efforts to prevent spread of Coronavirus. In the circumstances former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake set in motion a programme of distributing rice to the people in difficulties at Kaup Rajiv Bhavan.
Twelve tonnes rice was distributed among all the rural Congress committee presidents of Kaup block south zone as second phase.
The rice handed over to the respective rural Congress committee presidents will be distributed to their respective booth committees by them.
Kaup block Congress committee president Navinchandra Suvarna, block committee chief secretary Ameer Mohammed, Harish Nayak, various rural Congress committee presidents and party leaders were present.
