Bangalore, Dec 30 (DHNS): BJP sitting MLC S Kailash (61) passed away in Bangalore on Tuesday after a prolonged illness. was suffering from a kidney ailment. The cremation was held at Harishchandra Ghat in the City.
Kailash, a bachelor, was an RSS volunteer. He dedicated his life for the party, and particularly the rights of labourers. He was considered as a ‘big brother’ by his party colleagues. He was nominated to the Council in December last.
Kailash had voted during the recent Council election after having been brought to the polling centre in an ambulance. However, election authorities ordered a repoll as the ballot box had been brought outside the polling centre to help Kailash cast his vote. He could not vote during the re-election.
In the Council, Minister V S Acharya hailed Kailash as a simple man and a good organiser.
