Beltangady: Throat swabs collected by conducting door-to-door visits

Beltangady, Apr 30: As per the directions issued by MLA Harish Poonja, teams of officials visited houses of coronavirus suspects in the taluk and collected their throat swabs on the spot.

This operation was led by the taluk health officer Dr Kalamadhu Shetty and Dr K Vidyavathi of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP).

The swabs so collected are promptly being sent to the district laboratory located at Mangaluru.

The COVID-19 protection team comprising medical officer of the taluk government hospital here Dr Tarakeshwari, lab technician Mahantesh, ambulance driver Hameed, Aladangady hospital lab technician Venkatesh and Venoor hospital lab technician Sandhya are working incessantly to monitor coronavirus situation in the taluk.
