Udupi: Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Ayyanna Higher Primary School, Kalattoor Begins

The education institutions that carry the responsibility of advising the youth the need to take right path thereby contributes to rural development. The need of hour lies in the teachers who can instill social, economical and moral values in youth, said Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon.
 
He was speaking at the inaugural function of the golden jubilee celebrations of Ayyanna Higher Primary School, Kalattoor near here on Monday December 28. Karnataka state administration has announced that Kutyar–Kalattoor villages will be developed under Suvarna Gram Yojna, while financial assistance of Rs 75 lac has been reserved to undertake development works in this regard, MLA added.
 


Kaup Sri Vidyaniketan Group of Education Institutions correspondent K P Acharya, Mumbai entrepreneur Payyar Kariyanna Shetty, Bellary entrepreneur Suresh Shetty Gurme, zilla panchayat president Gladys D’Almeida, Hampi Development Authority director Sanjay Betageri, JDS district president Deviprasad Shetty, Kutyar gram panchayat president Nityanand Shetty, block education officer D Manjunataiah, P K S High School headmaster Venugopal M, Alumni Association president Divakar B Shetty Kalattoor, Parent–Teachers’ Association president Sujatha, golden jubilee committee executive president Kishore Kumar Gurme, School managing committee secretary Raviraj Shirva and Rotary representative Venkata Krishna were present.
 
Mumbai entrepreneur Payyar Kariyanna Shetty and Sri Vidyaniketan Group of Education Institutions correspondent K P Acharya inaugurated the new classrooms.  MLA Lalaji R Mendon inaugurated the newly built compound wall at the school.
 
The office-bearers of golden jubilee committee and alumni association felicitated the retired school headmaster Edwin Rodrigues, school correspondent Kalavati Sheshappayya and donors on the occasion.
 
School vice-correspondent and golden jubilee committee honorary president Praveen Kumar Gurme welcomed the gathering. Headmaster Xavier Mendonca read the report.  Committee chief secretary Divakar D Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.  M Neelanand Naik and Nirmal Kumar Hegde compered the programme.
