Kalaburagi: 14 held for offering prayers at mosque amid lockdown

Kalaburagi, Apr 30: As many as 14 people were arrested for violating the coronavirus lockdown measures and offering prayers at a mosque, the police said on Thursday, April 30.

The police said they were on the hunt for two more who attended the prayer at the mosque. The police quoted PTI stating, "We arrested 14 people on Tuesday evening from T Bommanahalli mosque.”

The official said that they had received information about 16 people gathered at the mosque for prayer, but two of them managed to flee.

All religious gatherings are prohibited across the country as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of coronavirus.
