Bantwal, May 2: In an incident that occurred at Padrayi of Rayi village of the taluk, a man collpased on the verandah of his house and died.
Taniya (55), a resident of Padrayi is the person who died. He suffered from a heart-related ailment. He suffered heart attack in the first week of April.
After getting treated at a private hospital in Mangaluru he returned home. On Friday May 1 he was alone at home as all the house members had gone to work. In the afternoon when family members returned to the house they saw that Taniya had collpased on the verandah. Though he was rushed to Bantwal hospital, he had already died on the way.
A case is registered in this connection at Bantwal rural police station.
