Brahmavar: Thieves decamp with liquor bottles worth Rs one lac

Brahmavar, May 4: Thieves broke open the glass door of a bar and restaurant and stole liquor bottles worth Rs 1,08,824. This incident occurred at Ammaje Cross of Hosur village in the taluk in the intervening period of April 28 and May 3.

Vasantha Shetty, a resident of Sri Durga Nilaya Aladka Haluvalli village in the taluk and Udaya Shetty own Anagha Bar and Restuarant located at Ammaje cross in Hosur village. Due to the lockdown the excise officials sealed the bar on March 21. However, the partners visit the bar every alternate day to confirm the seal and lock of the bar.

On April 28, the owners checked the doors of the bar at 2.30 pm. On May 3 when they checked again, the front door was in a locked position. However, the glass door was broken.

On checking the stock, it was noticed that the thieves had decamped with liquor bottles worth Rs 1,08,824.

A case in this connection is registered at Brahmavar police station.
