Mangaluru, May 4: President of Ullal Sayyid Madani Dargah Haji Abdurrashid has given a call to the people to donate the money earmarked by them to buy clothes for Eid, for starting a dialysis centre at Ullal Primary Health Centre. He said that this way, the festival can be celebrated in a meaningful way that will set an example for others to emulate.

He was speaking to media on Sunday, May 3 about problems created by lockdown for the people.

"Many people from Ullal have been suffering from kidney failure. Ullal does not have a facility to serve the people from the region requiring dialysis. Therefore, I request people to divert funds set aside to buy new clothes for the opening of the said centre," he requested.

He said that people are in a difficult situation now where namaz cannot be performed in mosques during the holy month of Ramzan. Still, he said that it is for the people to think clearly, and avoid celebrating the festival in a grand manner by purchasing new clothes and fancy items.
