Mangaluru, May 4: “The lock down relaxation in the district displays the negligence of district administration, district in charge minister and other MLAs,” stated Yuva Janata Dal.

Akshit Suvarna, district president of Yuva Janata Dal in his press release dated May 4 stated that the district is in orange zone at present and nine coronavirus patients are being medically treated. “People are anxious that the district administration has relaxed lockdown restrictions in the district from May 4, permitting movement of traffic from 7 am to 7 pm and business even though Boloor and Shaktinagar areas in the district are sealed down.”

“The nearby Udupi district is in green zone but the relaxation is permitted there only till 1 pm. While the district which is free from positive cases is taking precautions, the Dakshina Kannada district is pushing people towards danger. Days are not far for our district to go to red zone once again because of such negligence. It is ironical that BJP MLAs and ministers have forgotten that the lockdown was implemented to control spread of Coronavirus,” he stated.
