Udupi: 219 civic workers felicitated for special service in 35 wards

Udupi, May 4: The service of the civic workers, their supervisors and their vehicle drivers were commended in a programme chaired and led by MLA K Raghupathi Bhat and held in the cooperation of Karamballi Venkataramana Brahmakalashotsava Committee at Ajjarkad Town hall at 10.30 am on Monday.

The hard work of the civic workers was valuable in the classifying the Udupi district under the green zone. In the programme, every civic worker was presented with a cheque worth Rs 2,000 the total amounting to Rs 5,47,500. They were also provided with 10 kgs of rice each as a mark of respect.



The temple committee president Yashpal Suvarna, Pravin Shetty Kappettu, Kadiali Ganeshotsava Committee secretary Raghavendra Kini, Udupi municipal commissioner Anand C Kallolikar and environment inspector Sneha were present.

Towards the end, the MLA expressed his sincere gratitude and congratulations to the district administration and the civic workers.
