Mangalore, Jan 5: Democratic Youth Front of India (DYFI) organized a protest march to demand immediate asphalting of the Kulur-Kavoor road on Monday January 4.

Addressing the march, Dayanand Shetty, district secretary of DYFI, said that the road is in a condition similar to that of a paddy field but the city corporation is neglecting it in its rush to concrete the main roads in the city.

“The people of Kavoor are suffering from various problems due to lack of a proper road, which has not seen complete asphalting since the past ten years”, he said, adding that the protest will continue in a stronger manner if the work is not started soon.
Sunil Kumar Bajal, city secretary of Communist Party of India (Marxist), leaders of DYFI, Ramesh Kumar, Anil Kumar, Kanakadas, and others were present.
