Flipkart, Give India offer 2 lac PPE kits to Karnataka

Bengaluru, May 8: Leading e-commerce companies of India, Flipkart and Give India have offered to give 2 lac Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits to Karnataka to help the state to protect its medical professionals involved in the treatment of coronavirus affected people in the state.

Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy and executive Neil Castelino along with Give India executives called on chief minister B S Yediyurappa at his home office, Krishna, on Friday and handed over the first batch of 70,500 PPE kits to the chief minister.

Yediyurappa expressed his appreciation for the generosity and said the PPE kits would help the health sector employees.

Chief minister’s additional principal secretary P Ravikumar, additional chief secretary Mahendra Jain and Industries Department principal secretary Gaurav Gupta were present.
