Karkala: Couple Rescued from Well

Daijiworld Media Network – Karkala (SP)

Karkala, Jan 8: A couple, which had fallen into a deep well, was rescued by the personnel of the local fire brigade on Thursday January 7.

Geeta (23), residing near Nakre church, fell into a well located near her home on Thursday evening, accidentally. Her husband, Suresh (24), immediately jumped into the well to save her. The neighbourers, who gathered at the spot, lowered a rope to rescue them, but failed, as the well is about 85 feet deep, with a water level of 15 feet.

The fire brigade was informed, and its personnel, who came on the scene without loss of time, succeeded in bringing the husband and wife out.
