Bengaluru: Music teacher Srimati Nagaraj passes away at 78

Bengaluru, May 11: Srimati Nagaraj (78), music teacher hailing from Marnamikatte, Mangaluru, passed away at a private hospital here on Monday, May 11. She was the wife of H Nagaraj, retired post master.

She had taught music to hundreds of students at Ganashree Sangeeta Vidyalaya, Mangaluru. She had also held several music performances. ‘Smaraneyonde Salade’ (will memory not enough) was one of the CD’s of classical music and devotional music released from her.

She has left behind Sheela Diwaker, well known music artiste of Mangaluru, director of Ganashree Sangeeta Vidyalaya and her twin sister Shaila Satish and son Vinod Kumar.
