Mangalore: Hindu Yuva Samavesha – Free Bus Facility, No Liquor

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Jan 23: A joint release issued by Dakshina Kannada Bus Owners Association and Canara Bus Owners Association said that the people interested in participating in the Hindu Yuva Samavesha (Hindu Youth Convention) being held at Nehru Maidan in the city on Sunday Jaunary 24, will be provided with free travel facility. The students who will take part in the Bhagawadgita Abhiyan being held on January 25, will also get free transport facility, they said.

MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, has requested the people from all classes of the society to extend wholehearted support for the above convention. District deputy commissioner, V Ponnuraj, has ordered for the closure of all the liquor shops in the city from 12 midnight on January 23 to 6 am on January 25, as a law and order maintenance measure.

District police sources said that 511 additional policemen, in addition to the district police, will be deployed in the city on Sunday. “They will be deputed from Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Chikmagalur, Kodagu, Hassan, Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Ramanagar and Kolar district. Some of them have already arrived. Police contingents have been deployed at strategic points.

Arrangements have been made to keep vigil all over the city during the convention to ensure that no untoward incidents occur,” said district superintendent of police, Dr A Subrahmanyeshwar Rao.

This is for Raj. Don't equate terrorism to a community. Suicide attacks were the brain child of the LTTE. They were Hindus and Christians. We are aware of their ferocity and lethal ution. Likewise today, it has gained momentum amongst a few misguided and under privileged Muslims. You require real guts to be on a suicide mission. But for heavens sake do not brand a community or any community for the ills of a few.

Raj, do you know what Islam says, blood of human being is sacred, If you kill an innocent sould as if you have killed whole of humans and if you save a human soul as if you have saved whole of humans. Islam m preaches tolerance, but you dont. Jehadis are against USA and not against Japan or China. Whilst I condem all forms of terrorism, by jehadis, fundamentalists, of any religion, Just I am giving you the reasons why terrorism gives birth. Do you justify terrorism by fundamental hindu outfits? Why there was not this much hate before in our districts? Who promoted hate and devision in the society. Its your patron organisation BJP did it. and you cant deny it my friend. Its very open and wide truth. Dont blame others for your activities. Were we not living with peace and harmony before? If you are young, just ask your respected parents , they shall tell you. Ever since BJP was formed with the help of RSS the air of India started polluting and trust on the neighbour has been lost. . What you sow so you reap my friend. Truth is always bitter for people like you. In Pak, terrorists are killing their own muslim bretheren. Infact terrorism is fight against Western hegemony and foreign policies. Western policy of devide and rule......

While we hope for the best, we have seen many such 'samaveshas' in the past which only seem to have been a samavesha of eve teasers and hooligans, in the name of religion. They do not realise that by their acts, they invoke only contempt for their beliefs and not respect. I wont be surprised if this time too, they take this as an opportunity to harras women, particularly form other religions. if someone seems them doing this, I sincerely request them to capture it on video and upload on youtube for all to see

Varun Gandhi is a rich, spoilt brat who respects no one, least of all his mother, and is brazen and immature in his speeches. He only knows one thing: To sow the seeds of division and hatred between communities so that one day he will be elected. We need more leaders like him to screw up the country even more, and to deter any foreign investment for our country, so that even more youth will be unemployed and support Varun like clowns, under the influence of alcohol. Jai ho.

bajarang dal is an facict organisation who dont value constitution , its heroism is to be seen in manglore often... such as 50 to 100 men attacked pub student, sslc student , assaulted women wide spread communalism in schools and college campus . these people backed by sangh parivar have intense fear within coz their bravery is in assaulting 1 or 2 persons with a gang of 50 goondas . what happened to mangalore people who r simply quite . what can be expected from these uncultured fellows . whats their hidden agenda behind it is open to all . these type of conventions should not be encouraged .last but not least we can not expect better outcomes from it.other than one more communal riot ....

Whilst I hope, the youths will get the true spirit of hinduism by this convention, I wish them good luck and great success. I also hope there would not be any communual tension and violence as it had happened couple of years back, when youths were returning from Hindu Samajotsva after hearing fiercy and hate speeches by the BJP leaders and some welknown seer. Law enforcing authorities should be more vigilant this time. Accornding my studies, such conventions are aimed at sowing communual discord and spreading hate and poisoning the minds of youths against their own brothern, but of course from different community. Here they dont talk about Oneness of India, but talk about devision of India on ethnic and religious lines. Thats most unfortunate.

Few years back I would have whole heartedly welcomed such get togethor. But having seen a divisive politics hijacking the true hindu spirit, I get concerned with the message people carry home after they attend. If corruption and religious fanatism is our nations enemy - why these conventions are taking the focus away from the real issues?

Wise decision by District deputy commissioner, V Ponnuraj who has ordered for the closure of all the liquor shops in the city from January 23 January 25. As we know few days ago some uncivilised self proclaimed Indian culture saving groups, under the influence of alcohol have caused disturbances in one of the college functions in Mangalore. The truth is that these unempolyed youths have to depend on the strength of alcohol to do anything which they know is illegal and incorrect.

What sort of stupidity it is to close the liquor shops on a particular day? Those who drink or want to drink they will buy previous day.  In the gulf liquor shops are closed for entire Ramadan.....those who want to drink, keep stock for 40 Days. Sacrifice is available and not drinking/eating and not the other way round...Not available and not drinking/eating...what great thing about it? Everybody can do that..!!
