Bengaluru, Jun 24: The state home ministry has taken a decision to reserve five private hospitals exclusively to treat police officials identified with coronavirus infection.

Of late, several complaints had been received about the corona warriors who get infected during the discharging of their duties, not being treated properly.

Home minister, Basavaraj Bommai, has asked the additional chief secretary in the department of internal administration in writing, asking him to extend the above facility.

The official has been asked to arrange for five private hospitals exclusively to treat Bengaluru police with a separate laboratory for them. He has also sought a mobile vehicle to collect their throat swab staples, provide them with good food and basic facilities. The police also need to be provided with a separate quarantine centre and exclusive ambulance, the minister instructed.
