Udupi, Jun 29: The bend that is in front of the house of Dr V S Vailya in Kadiyali ward was causing problems to two-wheeler riders due to pile of mud and asphalt powder in the middle of the road. It was a common sight to see at least two riders skidding and falling everyday on this spot.

Similarly, the area in front of the scrap shop situated on the road behind Diana Talkies and the road near Indiranagar school also had artificial ups and downs created on the road due to the accumulation of mud due to heavy rains of the past week. In addition, the drain was at a higher height than the road, which was creating bottleneck situation for pedestrians and vehicles. The vehicle drivers also used to drive the vehicle fast in this area because of which the water was getting sprayed on the pedestrians.

Social worker Ansar Ahmed and team, which came across all the three issues, removed the mud and asphalt mix on all three areas and made way for the water to flow without any hassle.

Nasir Yakub, Adil, Matthak Ali, Shahil Rahmatullah, Nihad, Rafiq, Sajid, Shahul, Gagan, Rahil, Nazeef, Junaid, Adnan, Alfaz, Rahid and Mohammed Hudaif also joined hands with Ansar Ahmed in this noble work.
