Bengaluru: CM to take strict action on private hospitals denying treatment for corona

Bengaluru, Jun 29: State government has held a meeting with the owners of private hospitals in the state on Monday. CM Yediyurappa turned his ire on the hospitals which are not providing treatment for coronavirus.

Government is mulling of cutting water supply and electricity if the hospitals deny giving treatment for Covid-19 patients. It has given verbal instructions to DCs to use legal power against such hospitals.

In Bengaluru unofficial meeting has taken place by Bescom and Bengaluru water supply and drainage board.

As a last resort government is thinking of taking the private hospitals to its control.

CM Yediyurappa made an appeal to the owners of private hospitals and said, "Coronavirus pandemic can be eradicated only if you cooperate with the government. We are ready to give any help from our end. You have to reserve the number of beds which we specify. If you have any problems in implementing our order bring it to the notice of concerned minister. We will try to resolve the same."
