Udupi, Jul 5: The Government of Karnataka has nominated people to the city-based Karnataka Sahitya Beary Academy. Udupi journalist Nazeer Polya is one among the four people nominated as a member of the Beary Sahitya Academy.
The other nominated people include Shashidhar Budoli from Dakshina Kannada and Radhakrishna Navada and Roopashree Varkady from Kasaragod.

Nazeer is always known for being an active participant in various associations. Currently, he is employed at the news agency, Vaartha Bharati. He is an amateur photographer and a Lepidopterist, who has been studying moths and butterflies for many years.
