Udupi: 14 teams formed to control coronavirus in the district

Udupi, Jul 6: Deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha has directed to form 14 teams to effectively control the spread of coronavirus, for containment and to protect public health in the district. The teams will work in coordination and report to the deputy commissioner on a daily basis. Every team is assigned a separate duty.

One of the teams will be shifting the infected people to CCD/DCHC and DCH, The second will look after COVID treatment centres, the third will be in charge of exclusive COVID-19 health centres and hospitals, the fourth team will identify COVID contacts, the fifth tests, the sixth is in charge of containment zones, the seventh home quarantine HQ, CQAS and Aarogya Setu app, the eighth, masks and social distancing, preventing gathering and spitting in public, the ninth private and public health centres, fever clinics, ILI/SIRI cases, the 10th district control room, the 11th disposal of dead bodies, the 12th travel of interstate travellers by road and trains, the 13th interstate air travellers, 14th serving mothers and children.
