Karwar, Aug 4: A person who had suffered a heart attack was made to move between different hospitals. At last, without being able to get any treatment, he lost his life. This incident happened at Murudeshwar in the district on Monday, August 3.
The deceased was Ukmaram Boran (65) of Rajasthan origin, who was operating a bakery at Murudeshwar since the last 35 years. On Monday, he had suffered chest pain. He was taken to a private clinic where he got first aid. However, he became unconscious after being brought back.
Immediately he was taken to the government hospital where the doctors refused to treat him. They reportedly threatened to register police case if the patient was not immediately taken away.
Ukmaram was then taken to another private hospital where he was again denied treatment. When he was taken to a private clinic thereafter, the doctor there examined him and confirmed that he was breathing. As he was in need of specialised care and treatment, he was being taken to the government hospital when he passed away.
